This place has the best wonton soup, I can't eat shrimp for religious reasons, but I can't stop eating the wontons so good! The staff is so nice and friendly and they have large tables for big groups. The outside looks rough, but the inside has authentic Chinese food on this side of Hong Kong!

This is out go to place for Chinese food. The honey walnut shrimp is my favorite. We usually call to place an order for pickup. Food is prepared quickly and always tastes fresh.

First time eating here and it was delicious! Service was quick and courteous, the food was very tasty, and it didn't break the wallet (well appreciated these days). Would eat here again if in the area.

Haven't been here in years... I've forgotten how good it is. This place is truly authentic traditional Chinese food. I think they have the best beef chow fun, dry style. Portion is great and price is reasonable. Waitress spoke perfect English!

I liked that they opened early at 10:00am compared to some other places that opened at 11:00am. I ordered to go from here: beef stew clay pot, Peking spareribs, salt & pepper squid, and salt & pepper tofu. I called it in and it was ready by the time I went to pick it up. Everything was pretty good, but I enjoyed the squid the most. I would order from here again.

My family and I have gone here for 35 years. In other words, since my family relocated here, before I was born, before their remodel, before Yelp reviews. I have vivid memories playing in their red booths and getting handed a fortune cookie at their bar. DO NOT come here for linen service, wine pairings, official three course menus, or being waited hand and foot with dimmable lighting. DO COME for reliable quality, family styled portion sizes, and a taste of comfort. Jade Fountain has remained a true staple in my family for shared meals and has passed the taste test of Hong Kong immigrants, my extended family that lived in Chinatown(s), and even my own relatives visiting from Hong Kong. Is it "real & authentic Chinese food"? Well, you tell me! 6 main dishes (2 of them including seafood - receipt for the description) feeding 8 hungry and sunburnt family members after 2 master's of ceremonies for under $100?! (My mom provided the veggies and pot of rice, we are thrifty Asians after all ). This spread was a great mixture of ABC and "traditional" noodles. Everyone, including my sister's future family in law was satisfied and stuffed to the brim. Speak Chinese to order? Awesome. English? They got you. Barely stammered out my phone number & my meal order for pick up in Cantonese and the waitress gave me a wave of encouragement I will live, stand, and fight on my Jade Fountain hill. Anyone that comes for them will need to go through me & pry away my salt & pepper ribs.

We returned because we had a decent lunch here a few weeks ago. We decided to try one of their "set" family style dinners and we ordered another dish too- So what did we have.... 1) Seaweed Pork Tofu soup-this was actually very good. plenty of dried seaweed, tender pieces of pork, silky cubes of tofu. this soup was very favorable. you were able to taste each ingredient. 2) Tomatoes beef chow mein -hong kong style - another tasty dish. sauce was not too sweet, fresh tomatoes, tender pieces of beef, fresh peppers, and of course the crispy noodles -outstanding 3) Beef and Gai lon - decent. tender pieces of beef and gai lon was not under or over cooked. 4) Roast pork/oyster/tofu clay pot- nice dish. wish there were more oysters and roast pork versus tofu. I do recall the roast pork were chunks, now it is sliced. 5) Chinese style fried chicken: blah. not crispy, missing a drumstick, and lacked flavor 6) salty/spicy squid- no tentacles (which are my favorite) and the squid was over cooked which made the pieces tough and chewy 7) Peking spareribs-good. tender pieces of pork, almost too sweet-but was enjoyed by everyone Overall- a decent experience. the food arrived quickly and the service was good. But i probably won't order the chinese fried chicken or salty spicy squid - but stick with the salty spicy fish fillet instead.

We have been here for more than 25 years and always ordered the same thing. But today everything tasted off and the yang chow fried rice was very bland as if they forgot to put seasoning on it. I have to recook at home to make it better and not much meat inside either :( Egg gravy shrimp tasted like it was missing something. And Peking spare ribs also tasted like it was missing something. Did the chef change? Ownership still looks the same
